Ronald Gilligan, DDS

Hello, I’m Dr. Gilligan, and I want to welcome you personally to our practice. I love dentistry because it gives me daily opportunities to help people, both from a dental standpoint and from a personal standpoint. I am privileged to help eliminate people’s pain, to restore damaged teeth, to control disease and to improve their oral function. But my greatest professional pleasure comes from seeing a patient walk out with renewed self confidence and an improved self image. I truly love to see you smile!

My patients are very special to me. All of them are people I enjoy getting to know. I also love the variety of ages and backgrounds of our patients, and providing them with services ranging from polishing teeth to giving someone a gorgeous new smile!

Education and Experience

For my education, I attained my BS in Art Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1969 before receiving my DDS from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1979. Since then, I have studied with many of the giants in dental education and annually travel across the US to stay up to date with the best materials and techniques. My continuing education ensures that my patients receive the best care possible. My classes and seminars also keep me continually thinking about how I might better serve my patients.

After four years of studying art and graduating college with a BA in Art Education, it would be inconceivable for me to view being a dentist in any way other than as a blend of art and science. Dentistry is primarily a healing science, but when blended with a keen sense of form, function and aesthetic balance, beauty and harmony can be achieved for each patient.

Our Practice

We are a very different kind of practice. For one, we bake cookies for our patients daily! We love to surprise patients with a fresh chocolate chip cookie. Our entire team seems to struggle with not eating the baked goods before the patients get a chance, but somehow we manage!

Outside the Office

My wife, Mary Beth, and I have been married for 35 years, built our house 27 years ago, raised our children here, and still enjoy our neighborhood. We have a son, Sean, who owns a bicycle shop in Denver. Our daughter, Megan, is an interior designer in Los Angeles. We are very proud of our kids and our community, and enjoy spending time outdoors. I also love driving around town in my 1946 Chevy ambulance!

I am a friendly, outgoing guy with a dry sense of humor. I am down-to-earth and family-oriented, and my practice reflects that! For over 30 years, we have done our best to provide the highest quality dental services in a sincere, friendly, and comfortable atmosphere. Come and join our family of patients!
